DANCE COURSES IN INDIA

1.   Informal Dance Training:-  If you want to make your name in the Dance industry/ choreography industry, you don’t require any type of Degree/Certificate. It is your skills which makes you bright in this particular area. If your mind ask you How to make career in dance but your pocket does not allow you then it is the right course for you.

So, Informal Dance course is that course where you can learn the art of dancing at any age. In India, almost every street has one dance institute/ academy where you can learn the dance and give wings to your dreams.

a.   Eligibilty:- There is no special eligibility for informal dance training. No age limit. No Educational Requirement.

b.   Fees:-  The fees of informal dance training can be near about Rs.7000- Rs.10,000 ( for 3 Months). But, it can be different according to location of institute and quality of services provided by them.


2.   Certificate Courses:- There are various certificate courses that are available for different time durations such as for 
. 3 Months
. 6 Months
. 1 year

          Here, you will learn about basics of dance, flexibility in dance, dance movements etc. You will get a certificate of dance here. This course will answer your question of How to make a career in dance.

      Fees:- The fees of Certificate courses can be Rs.20000 to Rs.45000 per annum. But, it can be different according to location of institute and quality of services provided by them.

3.   Diploma Courses:- Diploma courses are available generally for 1 year to 2 year duration. In diploma courses, you will learn about theoretical aspect of your dance form which you wish to learn. Here no doubt, historical background  of dance forms will be taught to you but main focus of this course is always to improve the dancing skills of the students. You will get a diploma certificate here.

Fees:- The fees of Diploma courses can be Rs.40000 to Rs.85000 per annum. But, it can be different according to Location of institute and quality of services provided by them. 


4.    BPA (Bachelor of performing arts):- It is an undergraduate course of 3 year in the stream of Arts and Design. Here, you will learn about the theortical knowledge and as well as the practical knowledge about the fine arts.
BPA is available in
                               . Music
                               . Dance
                               . Drama

If you want to do BPA in dance then you have to select particular dance form also, in which you wish to get specialization.  This course is an epitome of an ideal answer to the question how to make career in dance and how to learn dance.

a.   Eligibility :- The eligibility for the Bachelor of Performing Arts is that student must possess 12th with 50% marks from any recognized board and must have subject of dance in 12th class.

b.   Fees:- The fees of Bachelore of performing arts can be Rs.85000 to Rs. 4 lakh. But, it can be different according to Location of institute and quality of services provided by them. 

5.   BFA (Bachelor in fine arts):- It is an undergraduate course of 3 year in the stream of Arts and Design. Here, you will learn about the theortical knowledge and as well as the practical knowledge about the fine arts.
BFA is available in
                               . Music
                               . Dance
                               . Theatre
                               . Applied Arts
                               . Calligraphy
                               . Plastic Art
                               . Painting

Major difference between BFA and BPA is that BPA is available only in Music, Dance and Drama.

If you want to do BFA in dance then you have to select particular dance form also, in which you wish to get specialization.

b.   Fees:- The fees of Bachelor in Fine Arts can be Rs.1 lakh to Rs.2 lakh. But, it can be different according to Location of institute and quality of services provided by them. 


6.    MPA (Master in Performing Arts):- It is a postgraduate course of 2 years in the stream of Arts and Design. Here, you learn about the theortical knowledge and as well as the practical knowledge about the fine arts.
MPA available in

                               . Drama

If you want to do MPA in dance then you have to select particular dance form also, in which you wish to to get specialization.

a.   Eligibility :- The eligibility for the Masters of Performing Arts is that student must possess 12th with 50% marks from any recognized board, passed BPA with 50% marks from recognized university and must have subject of dance in 12th class.


b.   Fees:- The fees of Master of performing arts can be Rs.2 lakh to Rs.4.4 lakh. But, it can be different according to Location of institute and quality of services provided by them. This course is an epitome of an ideal answer to question how to make career in dance and how to learn dance.

7.   MFA (Master in fine arts):- It is a postgraduate course of 2 years in the stream of Arts and Design. Here, you learn about the theortical knowledge and as well as the practical knowledge about the fine arts.
MFA is  available in
                               . Music
                               . Dance
                               . Drama
                               . Applied Arts
                               . Calligraphy
                               . Plastic Art
                               . Painting
